I was going through Michaels and I saw some paper cutters in one of the craft sections. I thought instantly – I wonder if I could use that on rice paper for cakes? I bought it and picked up some supplies.
I hadn’t tried the quilting technique on fondant either, so I thought I would combine those two things on one cake. I love how well the wafer paper looks after being cut by the paper press. I’ve seen some similar intricate patterns using veil sugar lace. I’ll have to try that sometime.
